Hi — I'm Mohamed, the developer of Masarefy. If something isn't working, you have a question, or you want to suggest a feature, the fastest way is to email me directly. I reply personally, usually within 24–48 hours.
How to report a problem
To help me fix things faster, please include:
- What happened — a short description of the issue and what you expected instead.
- Steps to reproduce — what you tapped, in what order, and on which screen.
- Device & iOS version — e.g., iPhone 15 Pro, iOS 18.4. (Settings → General → About.)
- App version — find it in Masarefy under More → App.
- A screenshot if it's visual.
- Debug logs (optional) — if you've enabled them in Settings → Privacy / Diagnostics, you can share them from More → App. Logs never leave your phone unless you choose to send them.
Common questions
My bank SMS isn't being parsed. What do I do?
Open Settings → Auto-import (Rules) and check whether your bank or wallet has a built-in rule enabled. If your message still doesn't match, paste the SMS into the rule editor — Masarefy will help you build a custom rule. If you'd like me to add support for a new bank, email me the SMS format (you can redact the amount and account number).
I lost my data after reinstalling. Can I get it back?
If you had iCloud Sync enabled before deletion, your data is in your private iCloud database. Reinstall Masarefy, sign in to the same iCloud account, and turn on Settings → Data & Backup → iCloud Sync. Your transactions, budgets, and goals will sync back. Without iCloud Sync, uninstalling removes local data permanently — Masarefy has no backend that can restore it.
How do I export my data?
Settings → Data & Backup → Export CSV. You'll get a file you can open in Numbers, Excel, or Google Sheets. Export is unrestricted — your data is always yours to take with you.
How do I delete all my data?
Settings → Danger Zone → Wipe all data. This deletes your local database; if iCloud Sync is on, the deletion will propagate to your iCloud copy as well. To remove what's in iCloud independently, go to iOS Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage.
Where can I read the privacy policy?
The full privacy policy is at masarefy.zaplatform.com/privacy.html. The short version: Masarefy stores your data on your device. Nothing leaves your phone unless you opt in to iCloud Sync, in which case it goes to your own private iCloud database — not to me, not to a server I run.

Please do — Masarefy is shaped largely by what early users ask for. Email the idea with a sentence about your use case. I read every one.
Response time
I aim to reply within 24–48 hours on weekdays (Cairo time). If your issue is urgent — you've lost data, you can't open the app, or a transaction is wrong — put “urgent” in the subject and I'll prioritize it.
